Have you ever had one of those moments that you knew it was going to be an important time in your life? It might have been in a common, ordinary spot or someplace you had never been before, but you knew that God was at work. One of those times for me was on a trade show floor in Toronto, Canada. I was alone in the booth as it was early in the day when suddenly a man approached, but it was no ordinary man. He could not speak and his method of communication was by writing in a small spiral notebook kept in the pocket of his coat.  It didn’t take me long to determine that he was a man on a mission. He had come to the bustling trade show in hopes of introducing men and women to the Lord…quite a feat for a man without an audible voice. In the movie In Time every person has a digital clock on their arm which tells how much time they have left to live. At birth they are given 25 years of time, if they never add any more time to their clocks they die at that time. Time is used as money so when people go to work they are given time on their clocks and for every thing that they purchase, time is taken away. The rich have hundreds of years while the poor live only one day at a time. The catch is that no matter how long you live your body never ages past 25. It is revealed in the story that the rich don’t really live their lives because they are afraid of dying and the poor are constantly running from place to place in order to try to stay alive. The movie was thought provoking for me because in reality time is valuable; yet some of us are not aware of that until it is too late. I have just wasted an hour of time on what many people would classify as an addiction. No it’s not drugs or alcohol or anything of that nature, but a game. It started as a harmless attempt to see what everyone was talking about, but became an obsession. With over 42 million downloads, Angry Birds is the most downloaded application, so I am not alone in playing the game. Kids of all ages are playing it, including my 3 year old granddaughter who can manipulate the application, my 5 year old grandson who is an expert and my 21 year old nephew who has conquered 20 stages of 12 levels.  In the game, birds are catapulted to try and destroy a group of evil pigs who have stolen their eggs. If you have ever played the game, you might understand the addiction. You will either want to keep playing until you master the level, or until you get a higher score and then once that has been accomplished, your desire is to check out the next level and the new capabilities of the birds as they explod...
